Job summary

AIR Control Concepts is seeking a Director of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to lead enterprise-wide safety strategy across 55 operating companies in the United States and Canada. The role partners with Presidents, VPs, and executives to build a world-class safety culture while ensuring regulatory compliance and reducing injuries.

The role focuses on setting objectives, leading investigations, overseeing regulatory programs, and shaping safety dashboards for executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, Operations, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• 7-10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience.
• Experience leading multi-site safety programs across geographically dispersed operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, and applicable Canadian safety regulations.
• Experience supporting acquisition integration preferred.
• Experience in a private equity-backed organization strongly preferred.
• Excellent executive communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish annual safety objectives and performance metrics across the enterprise.
• Develop and drive AIR's enterprise-wide EHS strategy and policies.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across OSHA/EPA/DOT and local regulations.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Standardize safety programs for field technicians, facilities, and fleets.
• Partner with Insurance, Legal, HR, and Operations on risk management.
• Develop enterprise safety dashboards and executive reporting for the Board.
• Lead EHS due diligence for acquisitions and post-acquisition integration.
