Job summary

Daybreak Foods in Michigan is seeking a Sanitation Lead for our egg processing operations. You will oversee daily cleaning, disassembly/reassembly of equipment, CIP, monitor chemical levels, and ensure GMPs.

Responsibilities include supervising sanitation crew, training, maintaining Master Sanitation Schedule, coordinating with Maintenance/Processing Manager, and enforcing safety policies. Ability to lead and mentor is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with GMPs or equivalent practices is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 2 years’ specifically related experience.
• Previous food plant sanitation experience is highly desirable. Training for egg specific equipment would be provided in house.
• Prior experience in a lead or supervisory position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble processing equipment daily.
• Perform CIP on tankers, silos, and product lines.
• Maintain chemical levels for CIP system and monitor titrations.
• Work with high pressure cleaning equipment, manual scrubbing, hoses, and basic tools.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks and end-of-day shutdown.
• Conduct post-sanitation inspections of all equipment.
• Coordinate with Maintenance/Processing Manager and chemical supplier on sanitation practices.
• Maintain Master Sanitation Schedule and ensure completion.
• Delegate and supervise sanitation crew; provide feedback and coaching.
• Enforce GMPs and safety policies; perform other duties as assigned.
