Job summary

Daybreak Foods, Inc. is seeking a Sanitation Technician to clean and sanitize egg processing equipment on a daily basis. The schedule rotates three days one week and four days the next, reporting to the Processing Supervisor.

You will disassemble and reassemble equipment, work with chemicals, and maintain GMP compliance. Qualifications include prior sanitation experience, egg-equipment training provided, and familiarity with GMPs.

Qualifications

• Previous food plant sanitation experience is desirable.
• Training for egg specific equipment will be provided.
• Familiarity with GMP's or equivalent practices is desirable.
• Ability to work independently.
• Speak English and Spanish is highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of sanitation methods, chemical handling and use.
• Knowledge of process control systems and food safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, sanitize and reassemble processing equipment daily.
• Work with chemicals, high-pressure cleaning equipment, hoses and basic tools.
• Maintain training on equipment, chemicals and MSDSs.
• Review sanitation chemicals with supervisor including use and mixing.
• Keep records and paperwork.
• Follow GMPs.
• Maintain equipment and keep in good repair.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
