Job summary

Cobb Foods is hiring at the Tennessee Pedigree Complex in Deer Lodge for a Pedigree House Worker. Starting pay is $17.45 per hour with additional shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends; temp roles start at $17.35 per hour. The role requires 12 months with one employer and minimal employment gaps, and includes extensive egg handling, weighing, and routine maintenance tasks.

Internal candidates will be given priority. Applicants must reside in the United States to interview.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
• If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
• Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
• Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

• Collect eggs from nest boxes and pen floors.
• Check hens in new flocks for evidence of production and place them in nests for training.
• Record and dispose of substandard eggs as instructed.
• Weigh hens and roosters weekly and record weights and uniformity.
• Weigh feed according to the outlined ration daily.
• Maintain daily housekeeping and sanitation of the house and equipment.
