Cobb is hiring a Laying House Worker to care for poultry in our Tennessee Pedigree Complex, Deer Lodge, TN. The role involves egg collection, house maintenance, bird care, and data recording while following bio-security rules.

The position starts with hourly pay and a shift schedule, with benefits eligibility from day one and opportunities for overtime and leave benefits as part of Cobb’s team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
• If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
• Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.

Responsabilités

• Attend to and care for roosters and hens in the laying house, maintain house condition and gather eggs for incubation as per production objectives.
• Perform routine housekeeping and cleaning duties; monitor sanitation and equipment integrity as part of daily tasks.
• Feed and water birds according to schedules; monitor weights and mortality and record data for production tracing.
• Weight birds weekly, record weights and mortality, and follow safety and biosecurity guidelines as required.
