Job summary

Cobb is hiring at the Tennessee Hatchery in Lafayette, TN. The starting pay is $17.00 per hour, with $17.45 effective November 1, plus shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. The job includes comprehensive benefits from day one and a 1st shift schedule as listed.

Applicants must reside in the U.S. and have at least 12 months of work history with one employer. Essential duties include handling day-old chicks, grading for defects, vaccinating and other tasks in a biosecure poultry

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
• Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
• Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

• Transfer chicks from boxes to grading wheel (25%).
• Grade newly hatched chicks for defects (25%).
• Operate robot to vaccinate and beak-treat birds per customer order (25%).
• Perform toe trim for identification if required (15%).
• Dub/mark male birds per customer order (5%).
