Cobb is seeking a Brood House Worker at the Tennessee Pedigree Complex, Deer Lodge, TN. The role focuses on caring for birds in the brood house, with start times and a schedule that may vary based on production needs.

Starting pay is $17.45 per hour with differential for evenings, nights, and weekends. Benefits include health/dental/vision, disability, telehealth, 401(k) and more, with eligibility on day one for full-time hires.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
• If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
• Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
• Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
• Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
• If you are offered a position that requires a background check you will be provided additional documentation to complete once an offer has been extended.

Responsibilities

• Feed and water birds according to schedules (30%)
• Walk floors daily; examine birds for signs of illness and treat according to instructions; pick up and dispose of mortality (20%)
• Place pen partitions according to calculations; segregate birds according to line and age of source (20%)
• Clean and disinfect waterers, pens, and perform routine housekeeping duties; repair pens and equipment (feeders, waterers, lights, fans, etc.) (10%)
• Record information according to instructions such genealogy, bird weight, medications, feed intake, and mortality (10%)
