The Cobb Pedigree House Worker in Deer Lodge, TN, cares for roosters and hens, maintains the house, and collects eggs for incubation according to production objectives. The role requires attention to detail and ability to work in a farm environment.

Hours are 6:10am to 4:20pm (Wed-Sat or Sun-Wed with holidays). Starting pay is $17.45 per hour with additional shift differential for evenings, nights, and weekends; benefits start on day 1 of full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
• Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
• Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

• Attends to and cares for the roosters and hens in a Pedigree house, maintains the overall condition of the house, and gathers eggs for incubation in accordance with production objectives.
• Performs routine housekeeping duties, checks equipment and house infrastructure, and records egg numbers and weights.
• Feeds and waters birds according to schedules, weighs weights weekly, and monitors for signs of illness.
