Job summary

North American Dental Group (NADG) is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant who can support dentists, perform expanded duties per state regulations, and help deliver best-in-class patient care. The role includes charting, assisting in restorative procedures, and managing patient records with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• EFDA Certification or on the job training required per state requirements.
• Radiography licensure for respective state requirements.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
• CPR Certification is required.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays with the ability to learn new programs as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assists doctors including charting, placement of fillings, operatory setup/clean up, and patient education.
• Able to perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance.
• Assists in clinical procedures and treatment such as fillings, temporary crowns, sutures, and topical fluoride; follows state limits.
• Records and reviews patient health history; makes chart entries under the doctor's direction; ensures forms/signatures in dental software.
• Enters and updates patient treatment plans as directed by the treating clinician.

Skills Required to Make a Great "Impression" on Our Team

• Assists doctors which includes but is not limited to charting, placement of fillings, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Able to perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance.
• Assists in clinical procedures and treatment such as: placing amalgam or composite fillings, adaptation of temporary crowns, removing surgical sutures, and applying topical fluoride treatments. Limitations due apply per state requirements.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Enters and updates patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating
