Job summary

North American Dental Group is hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to support dentists with charting, fillings, and patient education. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered and state-specific expanded duties apply.

We foster compassionate care and a patient-first culture aimed at delivering excellent dental experiences. Qualified candidates will have EFDA certification or on-the-job training, radiography licensure, CPR, and familiarity with dental charting software.

Qualifications

• EFDA certification or state-approved on-the-job training.
• Radiography licensure required per state.
• CPR certification required.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
• Proficient with MS Office and dental charting software; able to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Assists doctors which includes charting, placement of fillings, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Able to perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance.
• Assists in clinical procedures and treatment such as: placing amalgam or composite fillings, adaptation of temporary crowns, removing surgical sutures, and applying topical fluoride treatments.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Enters and updates patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating
