Job summary

North American Dental Group is hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in Port Saint Lucie, FL. This role supports clinicians with charting, fillings, and operatory setup, while enabling expanded duties per state regulations.

The ideal candidate holds EFDA certification or on-the-job training, radiography licensure, CPR, and proficiency with dental charting software and digital x-ray systems. Growth opportunities and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• EFDA Certification or on the job training required per state requirements.
• Radiography licensure for respective state requirements.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
• CPR Certification is required.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays with the ability to learn new programs as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assists doctors which includes but is not limited to charting, placement of fillings, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Able to perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance.
• Assists in clinical procedures and treatment such as: placing amalgam or composite fillings, adaptation of temporary crowns, removing surgical sutures, and applying topical fluoride treatments.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Enters and updates patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating
