North American Dental Group is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our Pensacola practice. You will work closely with the dentist and clinical team to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care and support a patient-first culture.

The ideal candidate holds EFDA certification, radiography licensure, CPR, and 1–5 years of experience, with proficiency in MS Office and dental charting software.

Qualifications

  • EFDA Certification required per state requirements.
  • Radiography licensure required per state requirements.
  • 1-5 years of experience preferred.
  • CPR Certification is required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and dental charting software.

Responsabilités

  • Perform expanded-function dental assisting duties within state laws.
  • Assist dentist with restorative and preventive procedures.
  • Prepare teeth, instruments, materials, and treatment rooms for procedures.
  • Take radiographs, impressions, digital scans, and other records.
  • Provide preventive services such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection-control, sterilization, and safety standards.
  • Keep clinical environment clean, organized, and stocked.

Responsibilities
Skills Required to Make a Great \"Impression\" on Our Team

As an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA), you will work closely with the dentist and clinical team to provide efficient, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform expanded-function dental assisting duties within the scope of applicable state laws and regulations.
  • Assist the dentist with restorative, preventive, and other clinical procedures.
  • Prepare teeth, instruments, materials, and treatment rooms for procedures.
  • Take radiographs, impressions, digital scans, and other diagnostic records as directed.
  • Provide authorized preventive services such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, infection-control, sterilization, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical environment.
  • Educate patients regarding treatment procedures and appropriate post-operative care.
  • Communicate effectively with the dentist and dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent patient care.
  • Maintain dental instruments, equipment, and clinical supplies.
  • Maintain all required EFDA credentials, certifications, and continuing education.

Qualifications

  • EFDA Certification required per state requirements
  • Radiography licensure for respective state requirements
  • 1-5 years of experience preferred
  • CPR Certification is required
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays with the ability to learn new programs as necessary
