Job summary

MorphLabs, based in New York City, seeks a Research Intern for a five-month on-site program. You will work closely with the CTO to advance EEG-based prosthetic control, delivering a real decoder or benchmark and sharing actionable findings that guide future experiments.

You’ll join a fast-moving team with access to data, hardware, and IRB-approved studies. Rolling applications, strong focus on practical results, and ship-first mentality are expected.

Qualifications

• Student or early-career researcher (undergrad, masters or PhD) with prior work in a research setting.
• Experience presenting or writing about research results.
• Ability to design and run experiments and interpret results.
• Familiarity with time-series data and modeling approaches.

Responsibilities

• Transfer learning across subjects, sessions and devices; develop decoders robust to drift.
• Self-supervised pretraining experiments on EEG corpus and measure transfer to control.
• Move models from offline benchmarks to online, low-latency decoding.
• Design data-collection paradigms and experiments to generate informative data.
• Contribute to evaluation benchmarks with held-out splits and reporting.
• Collaborate with hardware team to validate signal quality and headset performance.
• Ship reproducible decoders and document what worked and what didn’t.
