Job summary

Reality Labs at Meta invites PhD research interns to advance neural interfaces that draw on non-invasive body signals such as EMG, IMU, and PPG.

You will join a world-class, multi-disciplinary team to study neuromotor signals, develop signal processing and machine learning methods, and help create AI-first interaction techniques for AR/VR.

Internships run 12 to 24 weeks with multiple start dates throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a PhD in a field relevant to neural interfaces, signal processing, or ML.
• Strong mathematical and programming foundation.
• Experience with experimental sensor data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate neuromotor and other sensor signals to infer user intent.
• Develop signal processing and ML methods for AI-first interactions.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to advance AR/VR interfaces.
