Reality Labs at Meta is seeking PhD research interns to advance neural interface work using EMG, IMU, and PPG data. You will join a world-class team and develop signal processing and ML methods to infer user intent, turning research into AI-first interactions for VR/AR.

Internships last 12 to 24 weeks with multiple start dates. You will collaborate with engineering and HCI teams to build prototypes and contribute to a forward-looking research agenda.

Qualifications

• PhD in machine learning, computational neuroscience, speech and language technologies, signal processing, electrical engineering, computer science, statistics, physics, or related field.
• Research-oriented implementation using scientific Python and PyTorch in academic or professional settings.
• Experience in machine learning, deep learning, signal processing, computer vision, probabilistic graphical models, or NLP.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States at time of hire and maintain work authorization during employment.

Responsabilités

• Research and develop neural networks, ML models using EMG, IMU and other sensor data to advance neural interfaces.
• Design methods and tools to analyze multimodal datasets.
• Adapt ML methods to distributed clusters and GPUs.
• Collaborate with engineering and HCI teams to translate research into technology and user experiences.
• Use quantitative methods to define and advance research areas.
