Carroll County Public Schools Central Office in Hillsville seeks a Computer Technician to provide frontline technical support for students, teachers and staff, ensuring reliable operation of hardware, software and classroom technologies.

The role includes imaging and deploying devices, network troubleshooting, device repairs, and strong customer service while translating technical issues for non-technical users. This is a full-time, 12-month position with 8 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certifications acceptable.
• 1–2 years of relevant technical support experience.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel between district schools.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Provide multi-level technical support for district devices including Windows, ChromeOS and iPadOS.
• Troubleshoot OS, software, printing, connectivity and account access issues.
• Assist with imaging, configuring, and deploying devices for students and staff.
• Support instructional technology such as interactive displays and projectors.
• Document solutions and maintain knowledge base; manage device distribution events.
