Job summary

Middlesex County Magnet Schools is seeking a Supervisor of Technology for the 2026-2027 school year, a twelve-month position within the Board of Education. The role focuses on coordinating district technology and telecommunications to support curriculum, data and information functions, with responsibilities spanning hardware, software, networks, ITV studios, and staff training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates technology and telecommunications for the assigned schools.
• Assists in selecting and installing computer hardware, software, and network systems.
• Maintains district computer hardware and network systems in assigned schools.
• Assists in coordinating the design and operation of LANs and WANs.
• Assists in planning, organizing, and delivering in-service training.
• Monitors equipment utilization and provides scheduled maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Recommends hardware and software upgrades.
• Assists in development of budget recommendations for the district.
• Assists in writing specifications for equipment and software purchases relating to technology.
• Maintains records of computer and network hardware and software inventory, acquisition, maintenance, and upgrades in assigned schools.
• Assists in the requisitioning and monitoring of installation and repair of computer hardware, network, and ITV equipment.
• Assists in participation in educational organizations and appropriate in-service opportunities to facilitate professional growth.
• Assists in the design, installation, maintenance, and scheduling of ITV studios and services.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
