Job summary

The State of Connecticut’s Department of Administrative Services seeks an Information Technology Supervisor for the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS). The role leads IT staff, ensures reliable networks, cybersecurity, and educational technology across western CT, with occasional Hartford coordination.

You will manage devices and platforms (PowerSchool, Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint), collaborate with admins and vendors, and guide technology projects to support schools

Qualifications

• Must supervise IT staff and provide training.
• Oversee security, networks, devices and classroom tech.
• Experience with FERPA compliance and educational technology platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of IT staff; provide training and guidance.
• Oversee the support, security, and performance of networks, systems, applications, and classroom technology.
• Manage educational and administrative platforms (PowerSchool, PowerTeacher, ClassLink, Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint).
• Oversee the one-to-one student device program, including configuration and deployment.
• Monitor help-desk operations, service levels, incidents, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate technology projects, migrations, and deployments with minimal disruption to instruction.
