Job summary

Cengage Group in the United States is seeking a results-driven Sales Representative to manage education publishing territory. You will engage prospective customers, present digital and print solutions, and strive to exceed annual sales goals while shaping strategic plans and growth initiatives.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years in teaching or education sales, with proven sales growth, excellent communication, and strong CRM/MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required with minimum 2 years of teaching and education sales experience preferred in publishing.
• Proven record of consistent sales growth and goal achievement.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions.
• Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with customers and partners.
• Documented territory management and organizational skills.
• Strong competency in business technologies, multiple applications, CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite; must lift 50 lbs unaided.

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions for our digital and print products.
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
• Create and implement strategic territory and business plans.
• Drive new business to foster growth within the territory.
• Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting using company sales tools and data.
• Participate in network-building opportunities within territory, including conferences and industry events.
• Other duties as needed.
