Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Manager, Technical Platform Owner - Education in Raritan, NJ to lead education platform transformation initiatives. You will partner with enterprise product teams and vendors to deploy and operate a unified AI-powered platform integrated with Microsoft Dynamics technologies.

You’ll translate priorities into a strategic tech roadmap (0–5 years), manage site technology demand, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards while driving value and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 7 years of related IT experience.
• Proven experience leading technology delivery in regulated manufacturing, operations, or industrial environments.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technology roadmaps, investment priorities, and executable plans.
• Experience partnering with senior business stakeholders and influencing across multiple functions.
• Demonstrated strength in financial management, including budgeting, cost optimization, and total cost of ownership.
• Experience managing complexity, multiple initiatives, and competing priorities in a matrixed environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and coaching contributors; direct people-management is preferred where the role includes reports.
• Experience with project management or Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and coordination of education platform transformation technology solutions.
• Translate priorities and risks into a business-led tech roadmap (0–5 years).
• Serve as trusted technology partner for site leadership and stakeholders.
• Own identification, translation, and lifecycle management of site technology demand.
• Ensure alignment of local solutions to enterprise product categories and standards.
• Contribute to a global ecosystem of systems/apps.
• Develop and maintain site IT roadmap and investment justification.
• Drive speed-to-value with Agile/iterative delivery practices.
• Communicate roadmap progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external vendors for resourcing, delivery quality, and governance.
• Manage IT finances including budgets and total cost of ownership.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure continuity of operational performance and incident management.
• Embed quality, safety, regulatory, cybersecurity, and lifecycle practices in roadmaps.
• Provide technology leadership to teams and vendors, with people-management where assigned.
• Promote innovation addressing site priorities and measurable business value.
