Job summary

Cengage Group in the United States seeks a results-oriented sales professional to drive territory growth for digital and print products. You will develop and execute strategic plans, meet or exceed annual sales targets, and expand new business within the assigned region.

You will forecast activity, report sales metrics, and nurture relationships with educators, institutions, and partners while engaging in conferences and industry events to boost visibility and success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus minimum 2 years of teaching and education sales experience.
• Proven sales growth and goal achievement.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with customers and internal partners.
• Documented territory management and organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of business technologies, multiple applications, CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to transport materials to customer locations and lift 50 lbs unaided.

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions.
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
• Create and implement strategic territory and business plans.
• Drive new business to foster growth within the territory.
• Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting using company tools.
• Participate in network-building opportunities within territory and industry events.
• Other duties as needed.
