Job summary

Cengage Group in the United States is seeking a results-driven sales professional to grow our education solutions, including digital and print products, across the assigned territory.

You will meet or exceed annual sales goals, develop strategic territory plans, drive new business, and provide accurate forecasts using our sales tools. Expect travel to client sites and routine collaboration with internal partners to deliver outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years in teaching and education sales.
• Proven record of consistent sales growth and goal achievement.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions.
• Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with customers, internal partners, colleagues, and management.
• Documented territory management and organizational skills.
• Strong competency in the use of business technologies, multiple applications, CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite; must be able to transport materials to customer locations and lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions for our digital and print products.
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
• Create and implement strategic territory and business plans.
• Drive new business to foster growth within the territory.
• Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting using company sales tools and historical data.
• Participate in network building opportunities within territory, including conferences, group presentations, and industry functions.
• Other duties as needed.
