Job summary

PTC seeks an Education Account Manager to engage with select educational institutions, driving adoption of Onshape’s cloud-native CAD platform and forming long-term partnerships with universities. You will introduce Onshape to new schools and help existing users maximize its impact on students and curricula.

You will collaborate with Marketing and Customer Success to align territory plans, participate in events, and leverage Salesforce for account forecasting and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business, Education, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in account management, sales, or education-related roles.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions.
• Basic understanding of CAD software and its applications in engineering education.
• A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Proficiency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Grow Onshape’s footprint in the education sector through targeted outreach and account management strategies.
• Cultivate strong, formalized relationships with key higher ed institutions to drive deeper engagement with Onshape, identifying opportunities for deeper integration and expansion.
• Introduce Onshape’s cloud-native CAD platform to new educational institutions, highlighting how it can enhance their engineering and design programs.
• Engage with university decision-makers to formalize partnerships that incorporate Onshape into their curriculum.
• Develop strategies to introduce Onshape to new educational institutions, focusing on value-driven discussions and tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Success teams to align your territory strategy with broader business objectives, including event participation and digital marketing efforts.
• Manage a portfolio of strategic accounts, balancing new business development with relationship nurturing.
• Partner with Education Solutions Engineers to demonstrate Onshape’s capabilities, overcoming technical objections where necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of account activities in Salesforce, providing regular updates on progress and forecasts.
