Job summary

Onshape by PTC in Boston, MA is seeking an Education Account Manager to engage with schools, building formal partnerships that drive adoption of the cloud-native CAD platform.

You will introduce Onshape to new institutions, grow its footprint in education, and collaborate with Marketing and Customer Success to align strategies. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in education sales or account management and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, Education, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in account management, sales, or education-related roles.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions.
• Basic understanding of CAD software and its applications in engineering education.
• A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Proficiency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Grow Onshape’s footprint in the education sector through targeted outreach and account management.
• Cultivate formalized relationships with K12 and higher ed institutions to drive deeper engagement with Onshape.
• Introduce Onshape’s cloud-native CAD platform to new educational institutions and highlight its impact on curricula.
• Engage with university and K12 decision-makers to formalize partnerships.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Success to align territory strategy with business objectives.
• Manage a portfolio of strategic accounts balancing new business and relationship nurturing.
• Demonstrate Onshape’s capabilities with Education Solutions Engineers and address objections when needed.
• Maintain accurate records of account activities in Salesforce and provide progress updates.
