Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer I to build high-reliability, high-throughput systems that manage security certificates and configurations for a global customer base.

You will design, develop, and deploy backend services that scale to tens of thousands of concurrent operations, using Java in a Linux/Unix environment. You will collaborate across teams to create features from scratch, improve existing functionality, and apply testing and SQA practices to ensure robust

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Academic or project training in Java; familiarity with Python, C++, or Bash in Linux/Unix.
• Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot for scalable back-end apps.
• Hands-on UI experience with Angular in projects or coursework.
• Foundational understanding or coursework in Terraform.
• Understanding of SQL and relational DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres) and NoSQL (Elasticsearch, Cassandra).

Responsibilities
