Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking a Staff Internet Ingress & Edge Engineer to support enterprise application delivery across AWS, AVI, Azure, DNS, and edge security. This hands-on role involves monitoring, incident response, and lifecycle activities within established runbooks and change controls.

You will work with cross-functional teams to implement configuration changes, assist with onboarding, and maintain documentation while developing deeper platform ownership over time.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering/Cybersecurity or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years in networking, cloud operations, load balancing, or related technical role.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, routing, and high-availability fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting production infrastructure or connectivity using documented processes.
• Ability to follow change controls, runbooks, and documentation standards.
• Strong learning agility, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ingress and edge platform health, alerts, capacity, and performance.
• Triages connectivity, load balancing, DNS, certificates, and routing issues.
• Follow runbooks; collect evidence, validate health, and escalate complex issues.
• Participate in incident response, maintenance, and on-call support.
• Maintain ticket updates and operational records.
• Coordinate with engineers on configuration changes and failover settings.
