Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking a Staff Internet Ingress & Edge Engineer to support enterprise application delivery and ingress operations across AWS, AVI, Azure, DNS, certificate services, and edge security. The role emphasizes monitoring, troubleshooting, onboarding, configuration changes, maintenance, documentation, incident response, and lifecycle activities.

This is a hands-on operational role with a defined development path, working with senior engineers and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in networking, cloud operations, load balancing, application delivery, infrastructure support, or a related technical role.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, routing, Layer 4 and Layer 7 concepts, and high-availability fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Git, APIs, scripting, or Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ingress and edge platform health, availability, alerts, capacity, and service performance.
• Perform initial triage of connectivity, load balancing, DNS, certificates, routing, and traffic delivery issues.
• Follow runbooks to collect evidence, validate service health, and escalate complex issues.
• Participate in incident response, problem investigation, maintenance, and on-call support.
• Maintain accurate ticket updates, technical notes, and operational records.
