Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of professional experience building large-scale systems.
• Experience managing production infrastructure with uptime focus.
• Experience with distributed systems, engineering trade-offs, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, ship and maintain Edge caching services that handle a significant portion of Slack's API traffic.
• Collaborate with Engineering to triage bugs and fix production issues across the stack.
• Write code to automate maintenance and reduce manual intervention.
• Review code, mentor others, and be mentored within the team.
• Improve reliability and resilience of services; participate in design discussions.
