Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or related field or equivalent training/experience.
• 6+ years of professional experience building large-scale systems.
• Experience managing critical production infrastructure with focus on reliability and uptime.
• Experience with distributed systems and engineering trade-offs.
• Experience with unit tests, code reviews, documentation, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Experience building and operating web applications and understanding legacy architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, ship and maintain edge caching services supporting Slack API traffic.
• Collaborate with engineering to triage bugs and fix production issues across the stack.
• Write code to automate maintenance and reduce manual work.
• Review code, mentor others, and be mentored in return.
• Design solutions to improve reliability and resilience of services.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents.
