Job summary

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach is hiring an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) for the Evening shift. Full-Time (36hrs) 3p-3a. The ED Tech aids physicians, APs, and nurses by implementing care plans for emergency patients and performing bedside procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities include IV starts, EKGs, vital signs, and specimen collection. Eligible candidates should have a HS Diploma and EMT-B certification; current students in clinical programs may be

• Perform procedures under supervision (IV starts, EKGs, vital signs, blood cultures, etc.).
• Stocking and basic patient care tasks as part of the ED team.

Sentara is hiring an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Shift: Full-Time (36hrs) - Evenings 3p-3a. An ED Tech assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients. Performs patient procedures and treatments under the supervision of the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse. In this role, you are an integral part of the Emergency Department Team. Job Requirements/Certifications

Required: Clinical – <1 year. Required: EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR Current students enrolled in a clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy). Candidates with prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years will also be considered in lieu of the 3 criteria above.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.07 - $29.88 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
