Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is hiring a Part-Time Emergency Department Technician for night shifts (7:00am-7:00pm, 24 hours/week). The role supports ED staff in patient care, procedures, and safety training.

Eligibility includes EMT-B certification or equivalent, or active clinical program enrollment, with prior Sentara ED experience considered. The position offers competitive compensation and a broad benefits package, with potential shift differentials and bonuses

Qualifications

• EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire
• Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates
• Current student enrolled in clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy) having completed at least one semester within the program
• Candidates with prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years will also be considered in lieu of the 3 criteria above

Overview

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is hiring a Part-Time Emergency Department Technician! ED Tech - Emergency Department Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center - Woodbridge, VA ~Part-time & Night 7:00am-7:00pm 24 hours/week

Assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients. Performs patient procedures and treatments under the supervision of the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse. De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire. BLS certification within 90 days of hire for all incumbents. New incumbents must have one of the following in addition to the minimum Education :

Compensation

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.07 - $29.88 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
