Job summary

UMass Memorial Medical Group is seeking a Registration Specialist to manage patient appointments, registration and scheduling across multiple campuses. You will verify insurance coverage, obtain referrals and pre-authorizations, and collect patient liabilities prior to service.

Training on the 1st and 2nd shifts will occur, with initial on-site training at Marlborough Campus. Weekend and holiday coverage is required; position offers non-exempt status and potential signing bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare preferred.
• Must work every other weekend and holidays.
• Training on first and second shift for 5-6 weeks.
• Initial on-site training at Marlborough Campus for several weeks.

Responsibilities

• Enter Lab, Radiology and basic ancillary service appointments to schedules for multiple providers.
• Schedule patients for treatment and services at multiple campuses.
• Coordinate provision of multiple services to patients.
• Verify and obtain pre-authorization and referrals as required by insurers.
