Job summary

UMass Memorial Health Marlborough Hospital seeks a Registration Services professional to manage patient registrations, scheduling and related clerical duties for multiple providers and campuses. The role requires accurate data handling, insurance verification, and coordination of pre-authorizations.

Must work every other weekend and holidays with EPIC training in Worcester and Marlborough onsite. The team emphasizes respect and high-quality patient care within a large health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter Lab, Radiology and basic ancillary service appointments to schedules and coordinate services across multiple providers.
• Schedule patients for treatment and services at multiple campuses; ensure accurate patient demographics and insurance data.
• Collect patient liabilities and arrange tests, procedures, and ancillary services per guidelines.
• Obtain and verify patient insurance coverage; ensure pre-authorization and referrals before visits.
• Maintain accurate records, queues, and billing-related data; notify patients of appointment times.
• Assist with paperwork and patient communications; support financial counseling when needed.
