Responsibilities

• Obtains or validates patient information and registers patients into the software system, while providing a high level of customer service.
• Ensures all necessary demographic and financial data are obtained and documented into the system.
• Maintains patient safety through correct patient identification practices and confidentiality of PHI.
• Works daily reports and account work queues to ensure registration data integrity.
• Handles patient inquiries related to registration.
• Calculates payment information and accepts funds for Time of Service collections.
• Ensures EMTALA rules are adhered to when registering patients through ED and Obstetrics.
• Completes forms and collects documents as needed based on the registration type.
