Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Two to three years in a customer service role, preferably in healthcare or hospital settings with emphasis on registration and/or scheduling.
• Experience with third-party insurance verification and financial clearance is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Obtain and accurately record patient demographics for EMR in clinical and financial contexts.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays/deductibles at point of service.
• Manage ED registration workflow and patient flow using the ED Track Board.
• Escort patients for admissions and direct them to treatment areas as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service per the Standards of Professional Behavior.
• Multitask across registration queues and assist with Cath Lab arrivals as required.
