Job summary

Omega Healthcare Management Services is seeking a skilled medical coder to abstract and code clinical data from inpatient and outpatient records, ensuring accurate diagnoses and procedures with proper sequencing. Candidates should have 2–4 years of current production coding experience in acute care and profee, plus CPC/COC/CIC etc. credentials.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program.
• Minimum of two to four years of current production coding experience in both acute care and profee.

Responsibilities

• Abstract and code clinical data from inpatient, outpatient, ER and profee records.
• Assign principal/secondary diagnoses and procedures with correct sequencing.
• Ensure DRG/APC reimbursement accuracy and coding compliance.
• Abstract data into software/encoders and verify HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain 95% quality rating and document productivity in systems.
