Job summary

Omega Healthcare Management Services is seeking a dedicated medical coder responsible for abstracting and coding clinical data from multiple records. The role emphasizes accurate diagnosis and procedure coding with proper sequencing and DRG/APC assignment.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of current production coding experience in both acute care and professional services, plus AHIMA/APC credentials. The position supports a remote home-office environment with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program and 2–4 years of current production coding experience in both acute care and profee.
• CCS, CCS-P or other AHIMA/APC certifications preferred.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS coding for inpatient and professional services.

Responsibilities

• Abstract and code clinical information from inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, and professional records.
• Assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures with correct sequencing.
• Apply DRG/APC reimbursement principles and coding guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
• Track productivity and maintain defined quality targets (e.g., 95% quality).
• Coordinate with clients and team members in a remote home office setup.
