Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Colorado is seeking experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RNs to support fast-paced, high-acuity care across multiple ED units. You will float to emergency departments and other acute care areas as needed, delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care with strong critical thinking and teamwork.

The role offers full-time opportunities with day or night shifts, a 36-hour work week, and a 10% float differential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice; compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days of start date.
• Minimum one year of RN experience.
• BSN is required; degree will be verified.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
