Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RN to support staffing across acute care areas and EDs. You’ll deliver evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced environments, collaborate with physicians and teams, and adapt to variable patient volumes and acuity.

Requirements include valid RN license in the state, BLS, BSN, and at least 1 year of RN experience; RNs with <12 months must obtain BSN within 4 years. This FT role offers day or night shifts and a 10% float differential with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• RNs with <12 months must obtain BSN within 4 years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide care to patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with policies and standards.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Adapt quickly to varying workflows, patient volumes, and acuity levels while maintaining safety.
