Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, is seeking experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RNs to join a fast-paced, high-acuity team. This full-time role involves floating across emergency and acute care areas with a 36-hour weekly schedule and a 10% float differential.

You’ll collaborate with physicians and trauma teams, perform rapid assessments, administer medications, educate patients, and support continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state or ready to transfer within 60 days.
• Minimum one (1) year of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is required; degree will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency settings.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy and clinical standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
