Job summary

Intermountain Health's Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RN to provide adaptable, high-quality care across acute care settings. You will float to multiple units per operational needs, collaborating with physicians, trauma teams, and care teams to deliver timely, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice; Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start date.
• Minimum one year of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is Required; degree will be verified.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced emergency care environment.
• Perform rapid patient assessments and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide care to patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per policies.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Adapt to varying workflows, patient volumes, and acuity levels while maintaining quality and safety.
