Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO, seeks experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RNs for fast-paced, high-acuity care. You will float across emergency departments and acute care areas, delivering evidence-based nursing care, documenting thoroughly, and collaborating with a wide care team.

BSN is required, with a track record in emergency/acute care. This full-time role offers a 36-hour work week, 10% float differential, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is Required. Degree will be verified.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide care to patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per policies and standards.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and follow-up care.
