Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RN to support multiple ED and acute care units. You’ll float based on patient needs, collaborate with trauma teams, and provide rapid, evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a current RN license, BLS, 1 year of RN experience, and a BSN. Full-time days or nights with a 10% float differential are offered, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice; compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days of start.
• Minimum one (1) year of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN is Required. Degree will be verified.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency care environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide care to patients with a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per policies and standards.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Adapt to varying workflows, patient volumes, and acuity levels while maintaining quality and safety.
