Job summary

Intermountain Health's Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Float Pool RN. The role involves floating to ED and other acute care areas as needed, with 36 hours per week and day or night shifts available.

You will collaborate with ED teams to deliver timely, evidence-based care in a high-acuity setting. A BSN is required, with a minimum of 1 year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.
• BSN is required and licensed.
• RNs with <12 months must obtain BSN within 4 years of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in fast-paced emergency environments.
• Perform rapid patient assessments and initiate interventions.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, APs, techs, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications and treatments per policies and standards.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and follow-up care.
