Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a capable IT Associate to install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripherals in a donation-driven environment. Under supervision, you will also assemble and configure PCs, monitors, and related equipment, and ensure proper cabling for new installations.

You will provide user support, perform basic data destruction, and assist with planning and procurement of new systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
• A+ Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operating systems and software.
• Assembles and configures computers, monitors and peripherals.
• Pulls cables and rewires for new installations.
• Accurately conducts sales transactions and maintains cash/credit card controls.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Troubleshoots hardware, software and peripheral problems; makes repairs.
• Trains staff and program participants on systems and software.
