Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking an ECMO Specialist in Minnesota to operate and maintain ECMO circuits for patients requiring long-term support. The role works under ECMO physician guidance and collaborates with the care team to plan and deliver complex care.

Qualified candidates have ICU/critical care nursing or respiratory therapy background, strong communication, and ability to adapt to demanding schedules. This full-time position includes sponsorship opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year ICU or Critical Care experience as RN or RT; two years preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work in a team.
• Computer skills; experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain ECMO circuit and equipment for long-term pulmonary or cardiac support.
• Monitor patient status and ECMO circuit; coordinate with the health care team.
• Follow standing ECMO orders and physician guidance; ensure safety and quality of care.
