Qualifications

• Associate degree or 48 college credits required.
• WorkKeys and in-service training completion required.
• Completion of the NC DOL Teacher Assistant Apprenticeship Program preferred.
• One year working with EC students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, school yards, and gymnasiums.
• Assist with checking materials, portfolios, and testing as directed by the teacher.
• Prepare lesson materials and organize classroom learning spaces.
• Participate in daily transportation duties and school activities.
• Provide physical assistance and support as needed in activities of daily living.
