Job summary

Watts Water Technologies seeks a remote-based Senior Business Development professional for I-CON's new construction division in the East U.S. region.

The role focuses on driving growth by identifying opportunities, influencing specifications, and building relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, installers, and distributors. You will manage multi-state accounts, travel 50-75%, and collaborate with regional Account Executives to advance opportunities from design through award,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Construction Management, or related field.
5+ years of successful business development, technical sales, specification sales, construction sales, or related commercial sales experience.
Experience with multiple stakeholders in complex sales cycles (architects, engineers, contractors, installers, distributors, owners, end users).
Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, relationship-building, and closing skills.
Ability to communicate technical product information and customer value propositions.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while meeting business objectives.

Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and grow I-CON’s new construction pipeline within the assigned region, emphasizing correctional and detention projects.
Build and maintain relationships with architects, MEP firms, contractors, installers, distributors, owners, and facility stakeholders.
Influence project specifications by positioning I-CON products early in the design cycle.
Partner with regional Account Executives to identify and advance new construction opportunities.
Conduct field promotional activity, outreach, and industry networking to generate qualified leads and secure new business.
Prepare and deliver customer presentations and technical demonstrations communicating I‑CON’s value proposition.
Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive activity, and customer requirements affecting the correctional market.
