Job summary

Tradewinds Distributing Company is seeking a Regional Sales Director to grow our mini-split and unitary business in the East region of the United States. The role focuses on expanding existing customer accounts and building a broader distributor network through both direct account development and dealer education.

The position requires strong communication, B2B HVAC sales experience, and the ability to train dealers and installers. Travel is expected to be about 50% across the eastern states.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer focus.
• 5+ years of B2B sales in HVAC distribution.
• Ability to train dealers/installers and educate customers.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Strong knowledge of ductless products and market dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain close working relationships with current customer base.
• Sell mini-split and unitary equipment to new distributors in the eastern U.S. (ME to FL).
• Implement product and set integrity in stores; manage inventory levels and training for retail staff.
• Train internal and external users on product knowledge and applications.
• Identify and hire rep firms to cover the territory and manage their performance.
• Provide competitive information to establish negotiated pricing contracts.
• Perform product demonstrations, installations, and application support.
• Travel assigned territory to call on customers and schedule training.
• Maintain weekly call lists and provide accurate sales reports.
