Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Manager 1 to lead an entire project or a major portion of a larger project. You will manage safety culture, preconstruction activities, subcontractor coordination, and the submittal process, aligning with JE Dunn’s strategy and values.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction management including earthwork and utilities, strong communication, and proficiency with scheduling and project management tools. Travel and non-standard hours may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years construction management experience with earthwork/utilities.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and mentors staff; investigates incidents as needed.
• Manages prestart process and subcontractor pricing/buyout.
• Supports preconstruction: quantity takeoff, trade coordination, bid packages.
• Oversees submittal schedules, shop drawings and approvals.
• Coordinates pricing with logistics and manages risk with subs.
• Maintains project schedule and Lean-driven updates; tracks costs.
